Founded in 1961, EPS has been serving photographers in Lane County, regon for over forty years. We are a member of  Columbia Council of Camera Clubs. 

Our members are active in: slide, print, and digital photography, both in color and B/W.

Members can participate in:

  • Awards and Recognition for the Best Images of the Year

If you are seriously interested in photography we are inviting you to the next meeting of the Emerald Photographic Society as our guest.

Membership is open to all persons with an interest in improving their knowledge, ability and enjoyment of photography.

Experience ranges from novice to expert and your desire to learn is more important than your skill level. Whatever your experience level is, you will be welcomed and valued in our club.

While the camera club format is based upon competitions, there are definite advantages for those who do not wish to compete. One can enjoy and improve upon their own photography by observing the work of others, and listening to the critique of the judges. Every meeting is a social event.

Our regular meetings are on the 1st - 4th Tuesdays of the month. Special functions and field trips are held throughout the year at various times and locations. The first meeting of the month (1st. Tuesday) is usually our slide competition and critique. If you would like to see a quantity of quality slides or prints, this is the session to attend. Second Tuesday is education evening and the third Tuesday is Digital Competition night. You must be a member to participate, but you are always welcome to come and watch.
